Lake Mary Engagement Session in Mammoth Lakes

Trinity & Branden

Starry skies, towering green pines, and serene alpine lakes—what more could you desire for your engagement photography? That’s what Trinity & Branden had in mind when they traveled to the Eastern Sierra for their engagement session.

The two are set to be married next year. And since they adore this area of California, they wanted to capture their love in a place they cherish. The self-proclaimed “black cat girlfriend and golden retriever” were just too cute during their session. We traveled around Mammoth Lakes, visiting iconic spots and chatting about their lives, horror movies, and musicals.

When Trinity & Branden requested nighttime shots, I couldn’t have been more excited. Spending the evening under the stars, watching comets streak across the sky with your fiancé? Now that’s a magical way to end the night!

Tips for Your Lake Mary Engagement Session

Heading to the mountains for your engagement session? Keep these Mammoth Lakes tips in mind:

  • Beautiful areas are busy, and for good reason! Expect crowds, especially on weekends.

  • This area is high! Elevation can leave you susceptible to dehydration and exhaustion. Drink lots of water, take things slow, and consider coming early to acclimate.

  • Weather is varied in the mountains, so come prepared for cold temperatures.

  • Book your engagement photographer to help you plan and capture the session. I am intimately familiar with Mammoth Lakes as I have been traveling here since 2017!

Meet Your Mammoth Lakes Elopement Photographer

I'm Diana Lustig, a California-born adventurer with a camera for a hand and an inborn love for the outdoors. I'm a professional photographer of 15 years and counting. In my free time, you'll find me traveling through Eastern California with my husband in our van, Clyde.

How did I get into wedding and elopement photography? In 2019, I hired adventure photographers for my own wedding and they showed me there’s a different, more personal way to get married. It was such a special day, I want to bring it to so many more couples who believe in getting married their own way.
