2023 Recap: The Best Outdoor Wedding & Elopement Photography
I hope it’s not too much to say that I love my job. I feel a genuine thrill from all the wedding and elopement photography I do. When leaving a gig, I am charged with excitement. Sometimes it’s because things aligned perfectly, sometimes it’s because the challenges encountered only added to the magic of the moment. But in any case, it’s a delight and an honor to be a part of so many couple’s most special occasions.
There’s a lot of work that goes into planning weddings and elopements. That’s no surprise. But in these moments in the great outdoors with my couples, it’s satisfying in a way I only dreamed of. I can’t believe how incredible these past three years have been for me and my business. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
In 2023, I captured and planned:
5 weddings
8 elopements
8 engagements/couple’s shoots.
Beyond that, I traveled to:
5 states (CA, NV, OR, AZ, WA)
1 new country
3 new national parks (Olympic, Mount Rainier, Thingvellir in Iceland)
3 national parks that feel like home to me (Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Saguaro)
and photographed my first Burning Man wedding!
